Narrative Statement Regarding Government Contract

TrellisWare Technologies Inc. is currently under contract to USSOCOM to deliver software-defined
tactical radios. In order to test and validate these radios using high power (25W) amplifiers, TrellisWare
needs to conduct real-world testing at multiple frequencies in the 225-450 MHz band.

TrellisWare plans to operate in high power configurations only in the 245-250 MHz, 300-304 MHz 364-
369 MHz bands. These bands are all outside the FAA’s “Annex A” bands.

FAA Regional Pre-Coordination

As this modification does not make any changes to the portion of the license affected by FAA
coordination, TrellisWare respectfully requests that the FCC use the existing FAA documentation in
processing this application.

Military Assignment Group Pre-Coordination

TrellisWare respectfully requests the assistance of the FCC in coordinating with the NTIA and obtaining
the necessary approvals.
