The Boeing Company is requesting the use of the Robin Radar system for the evaluation of effectiveness in monitoring birds flying near the Boeing Helipad at Ridley Park, PA, in hopes of preventing bird strikes with operating helicopters. With the MAX bird radar data analytics tools, Boeing will be able to recall, replay, and analyze the recorded data. This allows them to quantify patterns in behavior (migration routes, seasonal occurrence, and the impact of specific weather conditions).
