Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Requested to demonstrate the Synthetic Aperture Radar capabilities on a short-term basis.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  We will be conducting test in the 16.2 to 17.25 GHz range. The purpose of the operation is to fly radar between 4000 and 6000 feet around Ajo, AZ. The platform takes off and roams between the AZ/CA and AZ/NM border, but will not fly around major cities and will be outside of military airspace. Radar antenna is mounted on aircraft. The radar will be operated to image the ground. This operation will provide a live demo for sensor evaluation. We are lowering our overall power output from the original license to 100W and limiting our range of operation to stay at least 50km away from Army training areas at Fort Huachuca and Yuma Proving Ground. Radar antenna is mounted on aircraft. The radar will be operated to image the ground. This operation will provide a live demo for sensor evaluation.
