Radar Development and Testing on Government Contract
RE: Form 442 Q4: Government Project Description, Exhibit
File Number: 0020-EX-PL-2016
Confirmation Number: EL889808
Date: January 8, 2016

Systems & Technology Research (STR) as well as sub-contractors L-3 Mustang
Technology and First RF Corporation are leading the TA2 efforts on the DARPA
radar development project called “Radar Net.”

The contract number is FA8750-15-C-0023. The contracting agency is USAF, AFMC,
Air Force Research Laboratory, 26 Electronic Parkway, Rome, NY. 13441-4514

The project will culminate in delivery of a radar sensor system, titled SERVAL
(Software-defined Efficient Radar Versatile, Affordable, Lightweight), which we seek
to test near the premises and key locations in the surrounding area of our sub-
contractor L-3 Mustang Technology near Plano, TX. Emission from SERVAL was
applied for in File Number: 0004-EX-PL-2016.

This application is specifically for a piece of test equipment we would like to use as a
calibrated target in the areas near the radar system. It will receive the radar
transmission, and then transmit it back with a specific delay and attenuation. We
would like to use it in a way that it will transmit no more than 1.51 W.

STR is leading the efforts on this contract and will oversee testing and operation of
the system.
