Please explain the purpose of operation:
Testing and development of a high accuracy instrumentation radar. The high power levels generated by the transmitter necessitate outdoor testing to avoid the high RF fields that would be created if the tests were conducted on an indoor range. Also, the range to the target needed is grater than the indoor facilities allow.
