Proposed experimentation: SpiderCloud Wireless, Inc. (“SpiderCloud”), based in Milpitas, CA, is a subsidiary of Corning Incorporated (“Corning”). SpiderCloud is engaged in the design of 3G/4G small cell wireless products for enterprise applications. SpiderCloud would like to radiate/test at its facilities located at 10875 Rancho Bernardo Rd., San Diego, CA 92127. The equipment will be compliant to 3GPP specifications for LTE in band 7. This license will replace WH2XOY, which had expired prior to SpiderCloud’s acquisition by Corning. b. Objective: To test multiple vendor portable equipment interoperating with the femto cell base station under development. c. Contribution: Indoor femto cells have the potential to offload local voice and/or data traffic from the outdoor macro cellular system. Work will be done to test and optimize operation of the femto cell system to provide higher speed data than previously available.
