QUESTION 6: STATEMENT OF RESEARCH PROJECT

(a) A description of the nature of the research project being conducted

Southwest Research Institute® will be conducting indoor re-radiation of GPS for
development and testing of a system that utilizes GPS for timing and synchronization.

(b) A showing that the communications facilities requested are necessary for the research
project

The intended research activities, as described above, will occur indoors.

(c) A showing that existing communications facilities are inadequate

Southwest Research Institute will be conducting the research on its own facilities.
