Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
STA is necessary to enable us to fly weather radio sonde at location other than Germantown, MD location. STA request is for flying weather radio sonde (mobile) within 160km of Mount Mitchell, NC. Coordinates N35-45-53, W82-15-54, WGS84/NAD83. Pupose of operation is to support testing of U.S. Army weather system to verify system accuracy.
