("SkyTel") (FRN: 000 1744465) hereby requests Experimental Special Temporary Authority ("STA") for operation in the 3.65 GHz band in support of Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. In particular, SkyTel‘s Purpose of Operation is as follows: Providing temporary wireless Internet communications to various relief groups, federal, state and local government agencies and businesses in the greater disaster areas left by Hurricane Katrina. SkyTel requests this STA for fixed and mobile operations in three locations in the states of LA, MS and AL. Specifically, we request a 40 mile radius of mobile operation about the coordinates listed below. The technical details of operation are as follows.
