Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Pursuant to OET’s August 31, 2005 Public Notice, SkyTel Corp. hereby requests Experimental Special Temporary Authority (“STA”) for operation in the 3.65 GHz band in support of Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Providing temporary wireless Internet communications to various relief groups, federal, state and local government agencies and businesses in the greater disaster areas left by Hurricane Katrina.
