Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Sirius XM seeks to test prototype devices that have been designed to comply with the FCCs Part 15 rules, but that have not yet received equipment authorization. The tests would be conducted during a period of four months or less.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Sirius XM proposes to test prototype in-home repeaters to evaluate their functionality and customer acceptability prior to seeking equipment authorization.
