Special Temporary Authority application - Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Sirius requests an extension of its existing STA so that it may continue its experimental testing until July 21, 2008, for a total period of 180 days, including the initial and extended periods, or until the FCC takes action on Sirius application for a regular experimental license filed in accordance with Section 5.61(b) of the FCCs rules. See File No. 0139-EX-PL-2008. The results of these experiments will assist Sirius in providing information in response to the Commissions request for such data in its pending rulemaking regarding satellite radio terrestrial repeaters and WCS operations.
