        Hi, Carl,

Sercel, Inc. manufactures the oil exploration equipment (system) used to evaluate geological characteristics
beneath the earth or ocean floor
for petroleum research. The equipment is used in oil and natural gas exploration for a seismic data
acquisition employing RF telemetry or cable.
Sercel, Inc. designed and manufactured the radio equipment of type Accepted FCC ID: KQ9812, KQ9816,
KQ9819, KQ9901, KQ9902,
KQ9903 and KQQLRU under FCC rule part 90.259. In the international market there are many such system
employed.

These equipment falls under FCC rule parts 2, 15 and 90. FCC rule parts 90.203 (a), 90.209 (a) and
15.101 (b) for transmit portion and receiver portion.
In addition FCC rule parts 15.3 (k) and 2.1057 (a).

If you require other information please let me know.

        Thanks. Have a nice day.

                        Hi, Carl,

Recently we are developing a new Transceiver for system use. The transceiver
performances are basically the same as existing transceivers.
Only new transmitter employs a phase modulation scheme, QPSK. Existing
transmitter uses a frequency modulation scheme, FSK.
The data rate of new Transceiver is 256 kbps per channel. Its occupied
bandwidth is 180 KHz per channel. The new transceiver has a 4—
channel operating capability. So the occupied bandwidth of containing four—
channel digital information will be 800 KHz (720 KHz at least).
So we request to add a Emission Designator of 800KG7D.

If you require more detail justification please let me know.

                       Thanks.

Please provide justification for the 800 kHz bandwidth requirement.
