Hi Doug,
>What part of 47C.F.R.§5.3 does this experiment qualify under?
We believe the following applies:
§5.3 Scope of service.
Stations operating in the Experimental Radio Service will be permitted to conduct the following type of
operations:
(j) Development of radio technique, equipment, operational data or engineering data, including field or
factory testing or calibration of equipment, related to an existing or proposed radio service.
The purpose of the STA is to provide Verizon the ability to enable the Verizon Digital Kiosk in order to
gather operational data in the field in order to optimize the hardware and techniques necessary to create
a communications network of kiosks in order to provide municipal outdoor WiFi service.
Thanks!
Alvin
