Reference Number 36132
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Dear Mr. Young,

In response to your email date March 20, 2017, Satcom Direct, Inc. (“Satcom”), provides
the following answers to the inquiries of the International Bureau:

Question 1: Is the SD WiFi Hub operating in the aircraft cabin in the 1626.5-1669.5 MHz band or is the
Satcom Direct Router a transmitter operating with the INMARSAT satellites (at GSO)?

Answer: The SD WiFi Hub and Satcom Direct Router are designed to operate in an aircraft cabin.
Neither is a transmitter that would operate with the Inmarsat satellites, and neither contains satellite
modems. Satcom would like to be able to test and improve them for compatibility with the transmitters
listed in its application that have the capability to operate with Inmarsat satellites.

Question 2: If the Satcom Direct Router is the transmitter is it operating with INMARSAT satellites?

Answer: N/A.

Question 3: If so, has Inmarsat approved the Satcom Direct Router as Inmarsat terminal previously?

Answer: N/A.
