Special Temporary Authority application - Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
Demonstration of the Exo-Brake and demonstrating the viability of the Iridium 9602 communication module. The Technical Education Satellite 4 (TechEdSat-4) will test and validate two different technologies in Low Earth Orbit (LEO): demonstration of the Exo-Brake and demonstrating the viability of the Iridium 9602 communication module. Transmission will begin 40 minutes after deployment from the ISS. The use of the Exo-Brake will deorbit the satellite in approximately 20 days after deployment from the ISS, thus concluding the mission.
