Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
The license is needed for a meteorburst propagation research project. The experiment will run for less than six months. We are requesting an extension becasue it took significantly longer to get under contract and funded than anticipated. We are working under USAF/AFMC contract no. FA8650-13-C-7331, contract line item no. 0006 (funded by DARPA/STO). Our funding start date was 3/15/2015 and our termination date (when our final report must be delivered) is 2/29/2016. Due to our late start and issues with component lead times (bandpass filters and transmit/receive switches), we are still working to get our system on the air.
Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
Test and demonstration of the ability to synchronize remote clocks using the meteorburst propagation channel. We will use the system to test/demonstrate the ability to synchronize remote clocks using the meteorburst propagation channel.
