FCC Application for Experimental License STA File Number: File Number: 0196-EX-PL-2014 Exhibit 1: Information on Experiment Purpose of Experiment SRC respectfully requests to the Federal Communications Commission to grant us an Experimental License for the operation of one BSTAR™ Avian Surveillance and Warning System Radar for the purpose of waveform development for avian detection at a solar power generation facility. SRC Inc further understands that modifications to the US table of frequency allocations will be necessary before this system can be sold to non-Federal Government entities. The period of time SRC will be requesting our Experimental License is one year; between the period of April 1, 2014 through April 1, 2015. The operating schedule is up to 24 hours per day. Operating Location The BSTAR radar will be operated within our 5 km radius of operation of the solar power generation facility 10 miles SE of Desert Center, California. The radar will be operated from a tripod 7 ft above ground. The coordinates SRC will use during our experiment are centered at: Elevation (Above Radius of Location Latitude Longitude mean Sea Level) Operation Solar Site Near 33°41'30.00"N 115°12'40.00"W 515 ft. 5 km Desert Center CA Cease Buzzer for Experiment SRC understands that operation will be on a secondary non-interference basis. In the event interference complaints were to occur, SRC has taken preventative measures to cease and desist from transmission until they can be resolved. SRC has established a Cease Buzzer point of contact to quickly react with any interference complaints that are the result of our system.
