Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
The experiment proposes the use of a Part 15-certified radar sensor for testing and feasibility of use on a railroad vehicle. It is not yet entirely clear what the range of vehicles is on which the device can be operated, and the Commission has recently changed its vehicular radar rules from Part 15 to Part 95. the radar sensor at issue was originally intended for automotive radar applications. See attached narrative.
