The Raytheon VerteSense System is a system that detects physical intrusions around a protected perimeter. The system consists of small (between 1 in3 and 16 in3) battery-powered devices that communicate wirelessly using very low power transmissions (between .1 and 10 milliwatts) at frequencies between 420 MHz and 450 MHz as permitted by local regulations.
