Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
As detailed in paragraph below, Raytheon seeks this STA To perform a demonstration of the D-RAPCON is a deployable Air Traffic Control system. This License is for a development and technical demonstration.
Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
To provide a demonstrable D-RAPCON configuration for ESC/Hanscom and User Community prior to RFP. Raytheon Network Centric Systems (NCS) The goal of the project is to provide a demonstrable D-RAPCON configuration for ESC/Hanscom and User Community prior to RFP. The D-RAPCON is a deployable Air Traffic Control system which is comprised of two subsystems. The first is a Radar subsystem consisting of a transportable antenna and a Radar electronics shelter with L-band (1030 MHz) and S-Band (2700 to 2900 MHz) capability. NOTE: There is NO associated Air Traffic Control Communications Systems associated with this system; so there was no need to coordinate 118-137 MHz and 225-399.9 MHZ
