The Capital Beltway Express, LLC (Applicant) is seeking Commission approval to
Use Location Narrowband (LN) frequencies in the 902-928 MHz band to support
Highway tolling activities in Prince William and Fairfax County, VA. Applicant will
employ the
Automatic Vehicle Identification, Intelligent Transportation System, which
includes the Tran score RF Module, Model IT2611. FCC ID for Model IT2611 is
FIH2611SS (See Exhibit 2).
This system uses two technologies to identify and collect revenue from driving
public. Camera systems capture images of license plates and system of tag
readers capture the Automatic Toll Collection Identification (AVI). One of the
many significant benefits with automation is dramatic reduction of pollutants
directly attributed to the elimination of stop-and-pay toll methods.
