PURPOSE: RFA NEW LN EXHIBIT 1 APPLICANT: TEXAS, STATE OF; March 1, 2011 DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION Page 1 of 1 FRN: 0001672310 The Texas Department of Transportation (Applicant) is seeking Commission approval to use Location Narrowband (LN) frequencies in the 902—928 MHz band to support highway tolling activities at Pflugerville, TX. Applicant will employ the Automatic Vehicle Identification, Intelligent Transportation System, which includes the Transcore RF Module, Model IT2611. FCC ID for Model IT2611 is FIH26118S (see Exhibit 2). This system uses two technologies to identify and collect revenue from the driving public. Camera systems capture images oflicense plates and a system of tag readers capture the Automatic Toll Collection Identification (AVI). One of the many significant benefits with automationis a dramatic reduction in pollutants directly attributed to the elimination of stop—and—pay toll methods. The attached Form 601 shows specific details of the assignment.
