Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Raytheon seeks this STA in order to allow technical demonstrations of the Micro Light DH500 systems with the multiple frequency bands during the MILCOM Conference in Orlando, as well as demonstrating performance of the Micro Light DH500 system to prospective buyers, within the Department of Defense (DoD), Homeland Defense, and commercial markets. These Raytheon objectives are in line with the public safety objectives in seeking and acquiring the above mentioned FCC Experimental License for the defined Mobile location.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Raytheon Network Centric Systems (NCS) has been developing a communications system that can be used without infrastructure; this is especially essential during a disaster as Katrina. The Raytheon MicroLight DH500 Technology each mobile unit act as a repeater or tower to route call through the network, this action is transparent to the user. We are planning to conduct demonstrations during 2007 MILCOM Conference with the various public safety agencies and public utilities companies. ?MicroLight DH500 provides an ad hoc networking solution suited to the dynamic operations carried out by infantry soldiers engaged in close combat situations today.
