Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Network Centric Radio System (NCRS) provides real time distribution of high fidelity video, data, and voice services for U.S. Government forces in a networked tactical environment, including in combat environmental conditions. NCRS has been designed to support tactical operations as outlined in The United States Army Future Force Warrior Concept Capability Plan for the Small Combat Unit (SCU) dated 30 September 2005.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  NCRS enables seamless on demand data transfer between dismounted troops, mobile platforms and command centers. NCRS development, operational testing, integration into existing SCU communications architectures, and fielding will provide direct support and much needed connectivity for numerous GWOT operational requirements around the world.
