Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
RF Film, Inc. hereby requests Special Temporary Authority (STA) to operate in the 2360 - 2390 MHz telemetry band, pursuant to Section 21.25 of the Commission’s Rules. RF Film, Inc. requests that the Commission grant it temporary authority to operate on the frequency centered on 2384MHz with an 8MHz bandwidth from October 12, 2017 with intermittent usage and ceasing operation on November 11, 2017.

Purpose of Operation

Please explain the purpose of operation:

To provide live aerial images during a commercial production shoot. RF Film, Inc. is filing an STA request for the shooting of “Law and Order True Crime, The Menendez Murders” in Lancaster CA.. RF Film, Inc. submits that there are extraordinary circumstances warranting a grant of the STA request. Law and Order Production, has contracted RF Film, Inc. to provide the necessary microwave for the shooting of this show. Due to the extreme frequency congestion in the Lancaster CA. area, coupled with the added congestion from traditional Television and News coverage of special events in the area, RF Film requests the use of 1 channel in the 2360-2390 MHz Telemetry Band.
