Description of Proposed Operation

Quake Global, Inc. proposes a research project for testing and development of equipment in
the Dedicated Short Range Communications Services (“DSRC”) in the band 5.850-5.925 GHz.
The goal is to demonstrate the technology in heavy equipment and transportation industries
for both fixed and mobile applications. Quake Global proposes to use a prototype radio that has
not been certified by the FCC for 802.11p operation.
