The
Dove
4
satellite
was
successfully
launched
on
November
21,
2013
aboard
the
Dnepr
rocket.

During
launch,
Dove
4
was
housed
inside
the
UniSat-‐5
satellite
and
was
to
be
deployed
into

orbit
by
command
from
the
ground.
After
several
months
of
attempts,
the
UniSat-‐5
operators

were
never
able
to
contact
UniSat-‐5,
and
it
was
presumed
“Dead
on
Arrival”.
Dove
4
remains

turned
off
and
contained
within
UniSat-‐5,
and
is
expected
to
remain
so
indefinitely.

relinquishes
File
Number
0167-‐EX-‐ML-‐2013,
Call
Sign
WG2XKX
(Dove
4),
as

the
satellite
is
assumed
to
be
permanently
“stuck”
inside
of
UniSat-‐5
and
will
never
begin

operations.
