Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Applicant has developed hardware to demonstrate potential applications using unoccupied UHF spectrum in the 512-698 MHz band, corresponding to television channels 21-51 (the TV white spaces). A portion of Applicants demonstration involves a brief, low power transmission of an OFDM signal in an unoccupied 6 MHz channel in this band. All demonstrated transmissions will be less than 10 minutes at a power not to exceed 50 mW, and will take place indoors. All transmissions will take place outside the protected service contour of incumbent operations.
