Communications and operational functionality testing will be in small portions of commercial 4G LTE spectrum.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Testing 4G LTE viability in a multi-national exercise called Bold Alligator. Held annually since 2012 at Camp Lejeune and Cherry Point, NC, Bold Alligator has involved 14,000 marines, sailors, airmen and soldiers, encompassing more than 25 ships from Canada, Mexico, UK, France, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, New Zealand, Australia, and other allied nations participating at sea, on land, and in the air.
