Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
An STA is necessary to use the 1250-1340 MHz band to evaluate Broadside-to Endfire Array (AESA) performance.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Evaluation of Broadside-to-Endfire Array (AESA) performance. This research project is designed to evaluate Broadside-to-Endfire Array (AESA) performance. This system will use an Agilent/Keysight signal generator (Model number 82620B) as the source of the RF signal. This signal will then be passed through Northrop Grumman designed and built control boards that provide power control and amplification. The signal then will be fed through a manifold to 128 columns with 16 radiating sights per column. Antenna Gain is 22 dBi. Total output power will be managed to be under 100 Watts ERP. The antenna will be oriented such that it transmits on an azimuth of 120 degrees to a ground target horn.
