AN STA is necessary to use USGOV frequency in support of USGOV contract 11-C-8879.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  To use a radio from the AN/ARQ-52B Advanced Range Data System (ARDS) (NTIA SPS Control Number 15290/5) to support testing as part of a government contract effort. The purpose of operation is to use a radio from the AN/ARQ-52B Advanced Range Data System (ARDS) (NTIA SPS Control Number 15290/5) to support testing as part of a government contract effort. The radio will be used as part of the test support equipment, and will not be modified. It will be used at the fixed ground location shown in this application connected to omnidirectional blade antennas. The government contract office has requested Northrop Grumman to obtain the necessary FCC license for the operation of the radio at the test location.
