Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Northrop Grumman, under contract from the Air Force HNJJ program office, is required to ground and flight test a SIGINT system demonstrating survey, identification, direction finding and transmit-to UHF ground based radios.
Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
Commercial DMR handsets and repeater hardware, and commercial TETRA handsets have been selected for use during this demonstration. Northrop Grumman is submitting an application for Special Temporary Authorization to transmit to/from the commercial hardware in public ground and air space.
