Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
NSN needs access to AWS spectrum to conduct interoperability testing of its 1.7/1.9/2.1 GHz UMTS/GSM handsets and 2G-3G core network equipment. Testing will also include the transmission of voice, video, and data using UMTS technology and equipment for Advanced Wirelss Services (AWS)

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  The additional AWS UMTS overlay needs to be integrated with the exisitintg T-Mobile PCS GSM wireless network. The additional AWS UMTS overlay needs to be integrated with the exisitintg T-Mobile PCS GSM wireless network. The operational testing will include end to end statistical and drive test verification of all aspects of both T-Mobile networks
