Question 7: Purpose of Experiment

A 850 MHz band authorization for both GSM and WCDMA experimental radio service is needed in order
to support US TDMA operator's migration to GSM and then to 3G (AT&T Wireless, etc.)

These tests will include, but not be limited to, new software release testing, cell coverage enhancement
testing, and integration testing with other vendor equipment. These test will enable Nokia to continue to
make advances in the PCS field that will benefit Nokia, the service providers, and ultimately the public.
