Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This STA is required to perform small Unmanned Aircraft System (sUAS) flight demonstration for annual the TAAC UAS conference. This conference is where government entities, DOD, DHS, DOJ, DOI, the FAA, manufacturerers, and other interested entities get together to discuss the status of UAS operations in the national airspace system (NAS) and the required next step. Many of these participants have not seen or dealt with SUAS in operation and only understand the larger systems. This enables them to discuss the sUAS from the same perspective and understand the implications to natinoal security, border protection, crisis management and support for saving lives, and the potential risks.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  This demonstration is to educate conference attendees about sUAS to include how sUAS operate, requirements for safe flight, flight characteristics , frequency and safety coordination enabling more succinct discussions. These discussions will have a direct impact on the implementation of sUAS into the NAS within the next two years. From this conference comes the roadmap and direction for the many entities to provide their imput for the policy and regulations for sUAS. All flights wil be below 400 AGL.
