                                    Supplemental Information

New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC (“New Cingular”), licensee of Experimental
Radio Station WA2XIG, hereby provides supplemental information in support of its
application for license renewal.1

As background, New Cingular is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cingular Wireless
Corporation (“Cingular”), the largest wireless telecommunications carrier in the nation.
As a consequence of its recent merger with AT&T Wireless Services, Inc. (”AT&T
Wireless”), Cingular’s subsidiaries hold numerous broadband PCS station licenses
covering significant portions of the United States. At present, Cingular uses a variety of
technologies on its PCS networks, including TDMA (in many of the markets it acquired
from AT&T Wireless), GSM/GPRS-EDGE and UMTS, utilizing W-CDMA technology
(Cingular’s 3G solution). In order to accomplish the migration from multiple networks to
a single network and to evaluate the impact that has on the RF environment and the
impact on customers, Cingular conducts frequent technical experiments. This is the
primary purpose of the Experimental License for which Cingular seeks renewal.

Experiments are always conducted on Cingular licensed spectrum2 and thus every
safeguard is taken to ensure that no harmful interference results. While Cingular holds
nationwide authority under its experimental license, it does not conduct nationwide
experiments; rather, it conducts experiments in various portions of the country, at
different times. A nationwide experimental license is, however, necessary, because
Cingular operates PCS systems in a wide variety of geographic locations which are
subject to a wide variety of environmental and climatic effects. Because the primary
purpose of the experimental license is to evaluate the impact network
migration/integration has on the RF environment, it is necessary to have the ability to
utilize the experimental license in different areas at different times of the year.

In light of the foregoing, Cingular respectfully submits that renewal of its
Experimental Radio Station license would be consistent with the public interest,
convenience and necessity, and is therefore warranted.
