The frequencies requested are used in a research product called Crittercam. This
involves small camera and transmitter packages that are deployed onto animals to
conduct research into their lives and behaviors for conservation purposes. These projects
are often conducted with field specialists that have access to certain types of animals. The
research is conducted in remote areas where animals must be tracked electronically in
their natural habitats. We are transmitting video images back to a user operated recording
station that is fully wireless as well as telemetry controls on the device. We would like to
amend the attached frequencies to our current license which is valid thru 2006. These
new systems and frequencies will most likely be specifically used on captive and wild
birds of prey through proper permitting.
