Street, NW Washington, DC 20554 Subject: Renewal of Experimental Radio Station Construction Permit and License for Wireless Product Development Testing and Demonstrations Dear Mr. Huie: Nortel Technologies, Inc. hereinafter referred too as "Nortel" hereby requests Renewal of its Experimental License (File no. 4575—EX—R—96, Call Sign KI2XAG) which license expires on January 1, 1999. The current license is used for development of systems for users in both the United States and the international market. License authority is requested to support continued development, testing, product demonstration, development and demonstration needs will continue through 2001. Nortel further requests Experimental License authority to continue construction and operation of fixed stations in the vicinity of Richardson, Texas; Mountain View, CA; Research Triangle, NC and Morrisville, NC. Systems are being designed for both public and private use. The license renewal seeks authority to continue testing in the frequencies listed in said license KI2XAG.
