Dear Sir/Madame:

In accordance with Section 5.56 of the Commission‘s Rules, we request special temporary
authority ("STA") to operate a radio facility for the purpose noted below.

The Fee Code for this application is EAE. An authorization ofa credit card payment of$45and
Form 159 are enclosed.

In support of this request, the following is shown:

2.     Need for Special Action
       The STA is requested in order to demonstrate to industry officials an advanced wireless
       PCS 1900 system at the Fairmont Hotel trade show in 1717 North Akard Street in Dallas,
       Texas on 04—06 May 1998.

3.     Type of Operation
       Temporary in—building PCS operation utilizing TDMA/GSM 1900 technology. Network
       system will consist of a low power base station (2.5 mW) operating within the Fairmont
       Hotel. The base station will communicate with 2.5 mW portable radios, again, within the
       trade show.

      The GSM system will be used for marketing and demonstration of its capabilities to
      industry representatives and consumers.


      Dates of Operation
      The demonstrations are planned to commence May 04, 1998 and be completed by May 06,
      1998.
