Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
By this application, Motorola Solutions, Inc., respectfully requests special temporary authority (STA), from July 14-27, 2018, to test and demonstrate prototype equipment under development for the Department of Defense that will operate in the in the 2200-2250 MHz band. Operations will be conducted in connection with the July 2018 USSOCOM Technical Experimentation (TE) 18-3 Event. DoD has requested that participants obtain an experimental STA. The DoD contact for this event is Thomas W. McGowan (mcgowat.ctr@socom.mil).
