The proposed operation will be conducted in the 758— 7687788—798 MHz spoctrum thatis leansed to the First Respondor Network Authority (FirstNet®) The purpase of the proposed operation is to demenstrate the functionalty of protoype broadband LTE devices designed to support the needs of the public safaly and homeland securtty communty Motorola Solutions submits ts coverletter as part of the above—referenced appliation to affim its understanding of the primary status of FirsiNet as the lcansee, to soek FirstNet‘s consent and to provide our commitment to conduct operations under this requested STA as described below: 1} Operation wilbe confined to the immediate vicinty of the Pennsylvania Convention Centerin Philadelphia, PA.. The equipment wil include one temporary base station wih an associated antenna and a small number of portable/mobilunitsall operating within less than 1 km of the base station: 2). The demonstrations wil be conducted on the 758—768/768—798 MHz bands, which are currenty licensed on a natlonwide basis o FitNet. 3) Operation wl occur during the period October 18—23, 2013, allowing time during that partd for setup and testing, demonstrations and teardown 4). Motorol Solutions has analyzed information from the FCC‘s icense databases and determined that the proposed operation would not interfare or create a significant potental for interference with any public safety operations in the 700 MH band 5): The temporary experimental operation is not intended for the provision of regular public safety mission—criical communications or the delivery of ive transmnissions in dutles to protect ife, property or safety. 0 MOTOROLA SOLUTIONS 6): Motorole Solutions recognizes that ts experimental operations wil be secondary and must not cause interference to any operations authorized on a primary basis in this spectrum licensed to FirstNet. Further, Motorola Solutions understands that any such primary operations have no obligation to miigate any intorference that might be present tothe IACP demonstration experimental operations. 7) Motoroia Solutions acknowledges that although FirstNet has not yet deployed in the geographic area covered by the application, if FirsiNe! or ts assignees orlesseas plan to deploy in the area during the term of this STA, Motoroia Solutions may need to reduce the coverage or powerof its experimental transmissions or coase operations entraly to preventinterference to such deployment 8). Motorola Solutions will cooperate with other grantees of exparimental STAs who are demonstrating in tho same spectum at the IAGP conference to minimize the potental for interference. 9) Motorola Solutions recognizes that a separate concurrence from FirstNet wil be required for renewal or extension ofthis STA, if needed beyond October 23, 2013 10) The undersigned person wil serve as an overall point—of—contact for the proposed short— term demonstration atthe IAGP conference.
