We apologize for not responding in a timely manner to the FCC’s request for additional
information. As a result the FCC dismissed our application, file # 0219-EX-PL-2012. The application was
being filed to “reinstate” expired authorization under call sign KC2XAJ. There are no changes or
additions to the expired call sign; all of the information is the same.

The purpose of this filing is to provide the FCC with the requested information (reference #
17132).

Since Motorola Inc was divided into two separate entities our old emails were changed and my
new email is mike.ramnath@motorolasolutions.com

Due to the separation of the organization, certain function such as FCC License renewals were
clearly missed. However, we are going back and trying to re-new all of our expired licenses.

Experimental License KC2XAJ is Motorola’s Solutions Continental Demo License that is being
used to demo our products at trade shows and customer sites, including Public Safety customers.

We trust that the above explanations satisfy your requirements. We thank the FCC in advance
with their consideration with our request.

Sincerely,
Mike Ramnath
