Matt:
It is my understanding that BAE Systems is currently prosecuting a request for Special
Temporary Authority , ~ n d e rFCC File No.
0849-EX-ST-2006 to implement the GSR Detection & Location Algorithm related demonstrations
invclving the use of the Army's helicopter, which is expected to arrive in Manchester, NH
on May 17. It is my further understanding that the FCC has requested confirmation from
the Army regarding the duration of the helicopter's availability to BAE Systems for
completion of the experiment. This is to confirm that the helicopter is currently
scheduled for availability to BAE Systems through and including June 22, 2007. Of course,
it is possible that BAE Systems may require usage of the helicopter after that date in the
event that delays occur during testing. While we can work with BAE Systems to make the
helicopter available after July 27, 2007, please note that such availability will be
limited by any other higher priority requirements that may exist at that time.
The key milestones associated with the upcoming flight demonstrations are listed below:
1 May - Start verifying operation of transmitters in Merrimack, N.H.
7 May - Drive system to Lakehurst, N.J. to be installed in Army
helicopter.
14 May - Complete installation and fly helicopter to Merrimack, N.H.
21 May - Start ground testing of installed system.
28 Yay - Start air testing of installed system and verify viability of
waypoints.
4 June - Start operational testing and demonstrations.
22 June - C o m p l e ~ eoperational testing and demonstrations.

27 July - Aircraft availability to mitigate weather and/or mechanical
related delays after this date becomes very unlikely.

Thanks,
