Microsoft Infrastructure Group, LLC ("Microsoft"), respectfully requests experimental Special Temporary Authority ("STA") to establish two earth stations, one located in Quincy, Washington and the other located in Brewster, Washington, to test and demonstrate the efficacy and cutting-edge capabilities of Microsoft Azure's cloud computing network for the direct receipt and processing of Earth Observation ("EO") data from the Deimos-2 satellite. The Quincy earth station will use S-band uplink and S-band and X-band downlink frequencies and the Brewster earth station will operate on a receive-only basis using X-band downlink frequencies.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Microsoft seeks an STA for a period of six months beginning on or before September 1, 2020 to permit it to operate one earth station in Quincy, Washington and one in Brewster, Washington for testing and demonstration purposes. Microsoft does not seek authority to provide commercial service to users in the United States.
