To Whom it May Concern,

Thank you for the feedback on our experimental license application.

We were directed by the manufacturer of the equipment to apply for an experimental license to operate
this equipment for testing purposes. The manufacturer has provided as example an experimental license
obtained by another client operating similar equipment in a similar application that was granted in April
2018. Thus we were under the impression that this was the correct process for obtaining a license to
operate.

It was our understanding that the first time we applied for an experimental license we mistakenly provided
frequencies outside of what is allocated in CFR 47, Part 90. We attempted to correct this by filing another
experimental application citing the allocated frequencies that we intend to operate at.

Per your recent response, my understanding is that an experimental license is not appropriate for this
equipment and application. Could you please advise on the correct license / permit required, as we do not
have prior experience in obtaining FCC approval for operation of oceanographic radar equipment.

Also, is there a FCC point of contact that can advise on CODAR operation?

Thank you in advance!
