To accelerate the development of the VHF-FM Digital Small Message Services as contemplated by RTCM SC-123 CDV.
Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
To test and develop VHF-FM digital Small Message Services. Using the carrier-sense method described in the RTCM SC123 CDV (Committee Draft for Voting, attached to this application), ship and coast stations will exchange data messages with extended range for vessel tracking, e-mail and telemetry.
