Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
MVS USA, Inc. is applying for this STA simultaneously with an application for an experimental license so that testing can begin, as planned, in late August 2004. The purpose of this STA request is to facilitate commercial launch of these terminals when the Inmarsat 4 satellite is launched.
Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
Conducting trials of user terminals to ensure that the system technical performance and featuers are met under all conditions using the existing Inmarsat 3 satellite.
