PURPOSE OF STA AND FREQUENCY COORDINATION

The purpose of this STA is to further test an automobile racing communications system for voice
and telemetry that is in the developmental stage. The tests will occur at one test session at the
Daytona Motorsports Raceway in Daytona, Florida during January 4-6, 2019 and during actual
racing events at the same venue during January 25-27, 2019. The system will be deployed by
multiple race teams at the test and during the race events. The race teams will use the
communications system on a developmental testing basis on behalf of and overseen by MRTC
Motorsport Communications.

The dates during 2019 when this system will be deployed are: January 4-6, 2019 inclusive and
January 25-27, 2018 inclusive.

The applicant requires eleven paired and sixteen simplex, 12.5 kHz channel bandwidth
frequencies as specified in this application in the VHF and UHF ranges for voice transmissions
over short ranges.

The applicant has consulted the ULS database with respect to the VHF channels sought and
proposes what are believed to be unoccupied PLMR channels in the area of the Daytona
International Speedway.

The “stop buzzer” contact on site on behalf of the applicant is Mr. Andy Covell of MRTC,
whose mobile number is +44 (0)7464 482 130. If a United States mobile number is required,
undersigned counsel will also serve as a stop buzzer contact, at (301) 351-3795. All operation
will cease on any channel after a report of harmful interference and will not resume unless and
until the complaint is resolved to the satisfaction of the complainant.
