Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This application proposes the use of VHF land mobile channels in the Austin, Texas area for terrestrial only, two-way voice for racing cars; and for two-way operational communications during the Hankook 24 automobile race events and for testing prior to the event within and immediately surrounding the Circuit of the Americas Race Track. The STA is necessary because the race teams, from Europe and elsewhere, will be operating in the United States for a short time only for the purpose set forth herein.
